This is my comfort in my affliction; for thy spoken word has caused me to live.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is purified; he is a shield to all those that trust in him.
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? when he shall keep thy word.

and thou shalt repeat them diligently unto thy sons and shalt talk of them being in thy house and walking by the way, lying down in bed, and rising up; and thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thy eyes; and thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house and on thy gates. And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give it unto thee: great and goodly cities, which thou didst not build, and houses full of all good things, which thou didst not fill, and hewn out wells, which thou didst not dig, vineyards and olive trees, which thou didst not plant; when thou shalt have eaten and be full, then beware lest thou forget the LORD, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the rights of the LORD are true, they are all just. read more.
