The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will praise him. The LORD is the strength of his people, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Blessed art thou, O Israel, who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help and the sword of thy excellency? Thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee, and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory and the lifter up of my head.

My shield is in God, he who saves the upright in heart.

Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I have waited for thy word.

The night is past, and the day is come; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us clothe ourselves with the weapons of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But be clothed with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not listen to the flesh, to fulfil its desires.

that ye put off everything concerning the old way of life, that is, the old man who corrupts himself according to deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of your understanding and that ye put on the new man, which is created in conformity to God in righteousness and in the holiness of the truth.

Lie not one to another, putting off the old man with his deeds

Stand firm, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth and having on the breastplate, of righteousness,

and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace,

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

above all, taking the shield of faith, with which ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

For in him is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him will become filled with pride, but the just in his faith shall live.

resist him steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are to be accomplished in the company of your brethren that are in the world.

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet, the hope of saving health. For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain saving health by our Lord Jesus Christ,

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live temperately, righteously, and godly in this present world; waiting for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,read more.
who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a people of his own, zealous of good works.

And every one that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the destruction of strong holds),

Thy spoken word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

For the word of God is alive and efficient and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching in this with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

As for me, I will call upon God, and the LORD shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray and cry aloud, and he shall hear my voice. He has ransomed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, for there were many against me.

Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of his grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be whole. The effectual prayer of the righteous is very powerful.
