Understand what I say, that the Lord shall give thee understanding in all things.

For the LORD gives wisdom; out of his mouth comes knowledge and intelligence.

If there is a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show unto man his uprightness;

And whiles I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; I was even yet speaking in prayer, and that man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening sacrifice. And he caused me to understand and spoke with me and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to cause thee to understand the interpretation.

Then he opened their understanding that they might understand the scriptures and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day; and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded this unto them in all the scriptures concerning himself.

Then they understood that he bade them not to keep themselves from the leaven of bread, but from the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

But as it is written, That which eye has not seen nor ear heard neither has entered into the heart of man is that which God has prepared for those that love him. But God has revealed this unto us by his Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Even so no one has known the things of God, but the Spirit of God.read more.
Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that God has given us. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but with doctrine of the Holy Spirit, jointly fitting spiritual things by spiritual means.

The woman said unto him, Lord, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

yea, if thou criest for understanding and givest thy voice unto intelligence, if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hid treasures, then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

My son, do not let them depart from thine eyes; keep sound wisdom and discretion,

The heart of the man of understanding acquires wisdom, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

And if any of you lacks wisdom, let them ask of God (who gives abundantly to all, and without reproach), and it shall be given them.

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken;

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel and knowest not this?

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
