They fought from the heavens; the stars from their ways fought against Sisera.

One thing is the glory of the sun, and another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou dost visit him?

And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints. For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

Ho, every one that thirsts, come ye to the waters, and he that has no money; come ye, buy, and eat; come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which does not satisfy? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an eternal covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. read more.
Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a captain and teacher to the peoples. Behold, thou shalt call a people that thou knowest not, and Gentiles that did not know thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God and for the Holy One of Israel, for he has honoured thee.

O LORD our Lord, how great is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy praise above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou might still the enemy and the avenger. what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou dost visit him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels and hast crowned him with glory and beauty.

Jesus spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; clarify thy Son, that thy Son may also clarify thee, as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. read more.
I have clarified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou didst give me to do. And now, O Father, clarify thou me with thine own self with that clarity which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou didst give me out of the world; thine they were, and thou didst give them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all my things are thine, and thine are mine; and I have been clarified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, those whom thou hast given me, keep them in thy name, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is the truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified in the truth. Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those who shall believe in me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the clarity which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one:

Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye reign as kings without us, and I wish ye did reign, that we also might reign with you. For I think that God has set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death; for we are made a spectacle unto the world and to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are prudent in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Can a man be profitable unto God? For he that is wise is profitable unto himself. Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that thou art justified? Or is it gain to him that thou makest thy ways perfect? Will he reprove thee or will he enter with thee into judgment because he fears thee? read more.
Certainly thy wickedness is great and thine iniquities have no end.

How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he that is born of a woman be clean? Behold, even the moon shall not shine, neither are the stars pure in his sight. How much less man, who is as a worm, and the son of man, who is also a worm?

Dost thou think this to be right, when thou didst say, I am more righteous than God? For thou didst say, What advantage will it be unto thee? And, What profit shall I have, if I am cleansed from my sin? I will answer thee and thy companions with thee. read more.
Look unto the heavens and see; and behold the heavens which are higher than thou. If thou dost sin, what hast thou done against him? Or if thy rebellion is multiplied, what doest thou unto him? If thou art righteous, what shalt thou give him? Or what shall he receive of thine hand? Thy wickedness shall hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness shall profit the son of man.

Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days? Hast thou shown the dayspring its place, that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

LORD, what is man that thou knowest him? or the son of man, that thou esteemeth him? Man is like unto vanity; his days are as a shadow that passes away.
