When making an offering at the altar and you remember your brother has something against you, leave your gift at the altar and go make peace with your brother. Then return and make your offering.
Then Paul said, I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest. It is written: You shall not speak evil of the ruler of your people.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Then his brothers also came and immediately bowed down in front of him. We are your slaves! they said. Joseph replied to them: Do not be afraid! I cannot take God's place. Even though you planned evil against me, God planned good to come out of it. This was to keep many people alive, as he is doing now. You have nothing to fear. I will take care of you and your children. So he reassured them with kind words that touched their hearts.
