What great nation is there, who has God so near to them? For we call on Jehovah our God for all things!
You my son Solomon, learn to know your father's God. Serve Jehovah wholeheartedly and willingly because he searches every heart and understands every thought we have. If you dedicate your life to serving him, he will accept you. On the other hand if you abandon him, he will reject you from then on.

In the spring ask Jehovah for rain. It is Jehovah who makes storm clouds and lightning. He will give showers of rain for the vegetation in the field.
Do not pray like the hypocrites! They want everyone to see them in the houses of worship and on the street corners. I assure you they have been paid in full. Go to your room and close the door. Privately pray to your Father. When your Father sees you he will reward you. Large quantities of meaningless words and repetition are not acceptable in prayer. If you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

Be on the watch all the time. Pray for the strength to escape all these things in order to stand before the Son of man.

This is the confidence that we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. If we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions (requests) that we have asked of him.
