How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh of God only?
neither sought we praise of men, neither of you, nor yet of any other, when we might have been chargeable, as the apostles of Christ.
Take heed to your alms, that ye give it not in the sight of men, to the intent that ye would be seen of them: or else ye get no reward of your father which is in heaven. Whensoever therefore thou givest thine alms, thou shalt not make a trumpet to be blown before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues, and in the streets, for to be praised of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But when thou doest thine alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:read more.
that thine alms may be secret: and thy father which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
But unto them that are rebellious, and disobey the truth, and follow iniquity, shall come indignation and wrath,
For I say, through the grace that unto me is given, to every man among you: that no man esteem of himself more than it becometh him to esteem - But that he discreetly judge of himself according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
so then, as concerning the conversation in time past, lay from you that old man, which is corrupt through the deceivable lusts,
that nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but that in meekness of mind every man esteem others better than himself, and that no man consider his own, but what is mete for others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus:

Likewise also the women, that they array themselves in comely apparel with shamefastness, and discreet behavior, not with broided hair, other gold, or pearls, or costly array:
A fair woman without discreet manners, is like a ring of gold in a swine's snout.
That according, as it is written, "He which rejoiceth, should rejoice in the Lord."
