so then, as concerning the conversation in time past, lay from you that old man, which is corrupt through the deceivable lusts,
No man regardeth righteousness, and no man judgeth truly. Every man hopeth in vain things, and imagineth deceit; conceiveth weariness, and bringeth forth evil.
For thou art the God that hast no pleasure in wickedness; neither shall any evil dwell with thee.

And with many other words bare he witness, and exhorted them saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation."
