put on your girdle, continu'd the angel, and bind on your sandals: which he did. throw your cloak over you, said the angel, and follow me.

and if any man will go to law with you, to have your coat, let him have your cloke too.

if any one strike you on one cheek, present to him the other likewise: or if any one seize your cloak, surrender your coat also.

When a woman, who had been troubled with an hemorrhage twelve years, came behind him, and touch'd the hem of his garment. for she said within her self, if I do but touch his garment, I shall be cured:

but having heard of Jesus; she came behind him in the crowd, and touched his garment. for said she, if I do but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.

if any man be in the field, let him not return back to take his coat.

not him that is in the field return back to fetch his garment.

Till that word, the Jews had given their attention, but then they broke out into a full cry, "out of the world with such a fellow: for it is not fit he should live." thus they roar'd, and threw off their cloaks, and scatter'd dust in the air: when the commanding officer order'd him to be brought into the castle, and put to the question by the lash, in order to find out the reason of their exclamations against him.
