Your lifestyle [must be] free from the love of money, being content with what you have. For he himself has said, "I will never desert you, and I will never abandon you."
[The] little belonging to the righteous [is] better than [the] wealth of many wicked.
Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever [circumstances] I am.
So I realized that there is {nothing better} for them than to {rejoice and enjoy themselves} during their lives.

And those who served in the army were also asking him, saying, "What should we also do?" And he said to them, "Extort from no one, and do not blackmail [anyone], and be content with your pay."
But [if we] have food and clothing, with these [things] we will be content.
