A new commandment give I unto you: that ye love together: as I have loved you, that even so ye love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye shall have love one to another."

And there is another like unto this: 'Thou shalt love thine neighbor as thyself.'

And the second is like unto this, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor, as thyself.' There is none other commandment greater than these."

And he answered and said, "Thou shalt love thy Lord God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind: and thy neighbor as thyself."

Though I spake with the tongues of men and angels, and yet had no love, I were even as sounding brass: or as a tinkling cymbal. And though I could prophesy, and understood all secrets, and all knowledge: yea, if I had all faith so that I could move mountains out of their places, and yet had no love, I were nothing. And though I bestowed all my goods to feed the poor, and though I gave my body even that I burned, and yet had no love, it profiteth me nothing.read more.
Love suffereth long, and is courteous. Love envieth not. Love doth not forwardly, swelleth not, dealeth not dishonestly, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh not evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity: but rejoiceth in the truth, suffereth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth in all things. Though that prophesying fail, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge vanish away: yet love falleth never away. For our knowledge is unperfect, and our prophesying is unperfect: but when that which is perfect is come, then that which is unperfect shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I imagined as a child: but as soon as I was a man I put away childishness. Now we see in a glass, even in a dark speaking: but then shall we see face to face. Now I know unperfectly: but then shall I know even as I am known. Now abideth faith, hope, and love, even these three: but the chief of these is love.

and walk in love even as Christ loved us, and gave himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice of a sweet savour to God.

But as touching brotherly love, ye need not that I write unto you. For ye are taught of God to love one another.

For this is the tidings, that ye heard at the beginning, that we should love one another:

Dearly beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God. And all that love are born of God, and knoweth God.

forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel to another; even as Christ forgave you, even so do ye.

For and if ye shall forgive other men their trespasses, your heavenly father shall also forgive you.

And when ye stand and pray: forgive, if ye have anything against any man;

"Judge not and ye shall not be judged. Condemn not: and ye shall not be condemned. Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Be ye courteous one to another, and merciful, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake forgave you.

There was at Joppa a certain woman, which was a disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: the same was full of good works and alms deeds, which she did.

Behold, the sins of thy sister Sodom, were these: Pride, fullness of meat, abundance and Idleness: these things had she and her daughters. Besides that, they reached not their hand to the poor and needy,

Then shall they also answer him, saying, 'Master, when saw we thee a hungered, or athirst, or harborless, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and have not ministered unto thee?'

I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to receive the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how that he said, 'It is more blessed to give, than to receive.'"

And God hath also ordained in the congregation, first the apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, then them that do miracles; after that, the gifts of healing, helpers, governors, diversity of tongues.

for I know your readiness of mind, whereof I boast myself unto them of Macedonia, and say that Achaia was prepared a year ago, and your ferventness hath provoked many.

Let no widow be chosen under sixty years old, and such a one as was the wife of one man, and well reported of in good works: if she have nourished children, if she have been liberal to strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have ministered unto them which were in adversity, if she were continually given unto all manner good works.

For God is not unrighteous that he should forget your work and labour that proceedeth of love, which love showed in his name, which have ministered unto the saints, and yet minister.

Distribute unto the necessity of the saints, and diligently to harbour.

It fortuned as they went, that he entered into a certain town. And a certain woman named Martha, received him into her house.

Be not forgetful to lodge strangers. For thereby have divers received angels into their houses unawares.

how that the abundance of their rejoicing is, that they are tried with much tribulation. And thereto, though they were exceeding poor, yet have they given exceeding richly, and that in singleness.

The ungodly borroweth, and payeth not again, but the righteous is merciful and liberal.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out the devils: Freely ye have received, freely give again.

a devout man, and one that feared God with all his household, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed God always.

This yet remember, how that he which soweth little, shall reap little: and he that soweth plenteously shall reap plenteously. And let every man do according as he hath purposed in his heart, not grudgingly, or of necessity. For God loveth a cheerful giver.

and that they do good and be rich in good works, and ready to give and to distribute,

He that doth a poor man wrong, blasphemeth his maker; but whoso hath pity of the poor, doth honour unto God.

But the servant of the Lord must not strive: but must be peaceable unto all men, and apt to teach,

to make the young women soberminded, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be of discreet, chaste, housewifely, good, and obedient unto their own husbands, that the word of God be not evil spoken of.

Likewise, ye younger submit yourselves unto the elder. Submit yourselves every man, one to another. Knit yourselves together in lowliness of mind. For God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble.

As for the scornful, he shall laugh them to scorn, but he shall give grace unto the lowly.

It shall not be so among you: But whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister, and whosoever will be chief, let him be your servant. Even as the son of man came, not to be ministered unto, but to minister: and to give his life for the redemption of many."

So shall it not be among you: but whosoever of you will be great among you, shall be your minister. And whosoever will be chief, shall be servant unto all. For even the son of man came, not to be ministered unto: but to minister, and to give his life for the redemption of many."

that nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but that in meekness of mind every man esteem others better than himself, and that no man consider his own, but what is mete for others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus:read more.
Which, being in the shape of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Nevertheless, he made himself of no reputation, and took on him the shape of a servant, and became like unto men, and was found in his apparel as a man. He humbled himself and became obedient unto the death, even the death of the cross.

Warn them, that they submit themselves to rule and power, to obey the officers, that they be ready unto all good works, that they speak evil of no man, that they be no fighters, but soft, showing all meekness unto all men.

If any man be wise and endued with learning among you, let him show the works of his good conversation in meekness that is coupled with wisdom.

We desire you brethren warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, forbear the weak, have continual patience toward all men.

A patient man is better than one strong; and he that can rule himself, is more worth than he that winneth a city.

But the fruit of the spirit is: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance.

in all humbleness of mind, and meekness, and long suffering, forbearing one another through love,

strengthened with all might, through his glorious power, unto all patience, and long suffering, with joyfulness,

Preach the word, be fervent; be it in season, or out of season. Improve, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience there upon, until he receive the early and the latter rain. Be ye also patient therefore, and settle your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be damned. Take, my brethren, the prophets: for an example of suffering adversity, and of long patience, which spake in the name of the Lord. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have known what end the Lord made. For the Lord is very pitiful, and merciful.

submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Let every soul submit himself unto the authority of the higher powers. For there is no power, but of God. The powers that be, are ordained of God.

Submit yourselves unto all manner ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether it be unto the King as unto the chief head;

Women: submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the wife's head, even as Christ is the head of the congregation, and the same is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the congregation is in subjection to Christ, likewise let the wives be in subjection to their husbands in all things.
