And He said unto them, wheresoever ye enter into a house, there stay till ye leave that place. And whosoever will not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in the day of judgement, than for that city. And they went forth, and preached that men should repent.

And He called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases: and He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Go ye therefore and instruct all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.

And He said unto them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few: pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that He would send out workmen to his harvest. But whatever house ye come into, first say, Peace be to this house: and if there be a child of peace there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall return upon yourselves. And as Jesus went out, and was departing from the temple, his disciples came to observe to Him the magnificent buildings. But Jesus said unto them, Do ye see all these things? Verily I tell you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be demolished. And when He was got to the mount of olives, the disciples came to Him in private and said, Tell us when these things shall be, and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world. read more.
And Jesus answered them, See that no one deceive you: for many shall come in my name saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, but be not troubled; for all these must indeed come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in several places: all which are but the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they afflict you, and kill you; and ye shall be hated by all nations for my name: and then will many take offense, and betray one another, and hate one another: and many false prophets will rise up and deceive many: and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he that endures to the end, shall be saved: and this gospel of the kingdom of heaven shall be preached in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end come.

And when ye hear of wars, and rumors of wars, be not troubled; for such things must happen; but the end will not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and famines and troubles: these will be the beginnings of sorrows. But look to yourselves; for they will deliver you up to councils, and synagogues: and ye shall be scourged, and set before governors and kings on my account, for a testimony against them. read more.
And the gospel must first be published to all nations.

Do ye not know, that they who are employed about the sacrifices have their food from the temple? and they, who attend at the altar, are partakers with the altar? So also the Lord hath ordained, that those who preach the Gospel should live of the Gospel.

My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep his commandments. read more.
He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whosoever keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: and by this we know that we are in Him. He that saith, he abideth in Him, ought himself also so to walk even as He walked.

But how shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach unless they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the good tidings of good things?

And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He who is appointed by God to be judge of the living and of the dead. To Him do all the prophets bear witness, that whosoever believeth on Him shall receive the forgiveness of their sins through his name.

For the doctrine of the cross is to them, that perish, foolishness: but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputant of the age? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? read more.
For, since in the wisdom of God the world by it's wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by what they called the folly of preaching to save those that believe. And whereas the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks look for wisdom, we preach Christ crucified; to the Jews indeed a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness; but to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God, as they call it, is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

So that when I came to Troas on account of the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened to me in the Lord, yet I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother there; but taking my leave of them, I went away into Macedonia. But thanks be to God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and spreadeth the odor of his knowledge by us in every place. read more.
For we are the sweet odor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, yea and in them that perish: to these indeed we are an odor of death to death; to those an odor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not like many who adulterate the word of God: but as with sincerity, but as from God, and in the sight of God, we speak concerning Christ.

And therefore He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; to qualify holy men for the work of the ministry, to the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all arrive in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at perfect maturity, even to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. read more.
That we may be no longer children fluctuating and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the artful insinuations of men, and their crafty methods of deceiving;

I wonder that ye are so soon removed from him who called you by the grace of Christ to another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that disturb you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ. But tho' we or an angel from heaven should preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached to you; let him be accursed. read more.
I say it again, if any one preach to you any other gospel than what ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade you to obey men or God? Or do I seek to please men? if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Thou then, who teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? Thou, that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou, that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? Thou, that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou, that boastest in the law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonour God? read more.
for through you the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles, as it is written.

The law and the prophets continued until John: from that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every one presseth into it. Though it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than one tittle of the law to fail.

But be thou watchful in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, give full proof of thy ministry.

If any one speak, let it be as declaring the oracles of God: if any one minister, let it be as from the power which God affordeth him: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
