Yea, truth fails; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. And Jehovah saw, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment.
So says the Lord Jehovah: Enough for you, O rulers of Israel. Remove violence and spoil, and do judgment and justice. Take away your demands on My people, says the Lord Jehovah. You shall have a just balance, a just ephah and a just bath.
Woe to those who plot wickedness and prepare evil on their beds! When the morning is light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet and seize fields; and houses, and take them away. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his inheritance. So Jehovah says this: Behold, against this family I am plotting an evil from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you go proudly, but it is an evil time.
And do not crush the widow or the orphan, the alien or the poor. And do not devise evil in your heart, of a man against his brother.
He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the stranger in giving him food and clothing.
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise, says Jehovah. I will set in safety, he pants for it.
For Jehovah your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, the mighty, and a terrible God, who does not respect persons nor take a bribe.
Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart, You will cause Your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, so that the man of the earth may no more terrify.
In His holy dwelling God is the father of the fatherless, and the judge of the widows.

I have not broken Your commandments, neither have I forgotten.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever.
Your flock has dwelt in it; You, O God, have prepared in Your goodness for the poor.
Whoever scorns the poor reviles his Maker; he who is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea for four, I will not turn away from it; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals; panting after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turning aside the way of the meek. And a man and his father will go in to the same woman, to defile My holy name.
So, because of your trampling on the poor, and you take tribute of grain from him; you have built houses of carved stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted desirable vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them.
Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart, You will cause Your ear to hear,
your rulers are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards; they do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them.
Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit; therefore they have become great and grown rich. They have become fat, they shine. Yes, they go past the deeds of the wicked; they do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may get rich; and they do not judge the right of the needy. Shall I not visit for these things? says Jehovah. Shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
So says Jehovah, Do judgment and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the oppressors's hand. And do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.
O God of vengeance, Jehovah, the God of vengeance, shine forth! Lift up Yourself, Judge of the earth; give a just repayment to the proud. How long shall the wicked, O Jehovah, how long shall the wicked exult?read more.
They gush; they speak impudent things; all the workers of iniquity speak proudly. They crush Your people, O Jehovah, and afflict Your inheritance. They kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
Jehovah preserves the strangers; He relieves the orphan and widow, but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
Leave your orphans; I will keep them alive; and let your widows trust in Me.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; Jehovah will deliver him in time of trouble.
He shall have pity on the poor and needy and shall save the souls of the needy.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
I have shown you all things, that working in this way we ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
