Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nothing? And those among my people that take rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name is continually blasphemed every day.
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
But now those that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
Now there are only mockers with me, upon whose bitterness my eye continues to gaze.
But they mocked the messengers of God and despised his words and misused his prophets until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, and there was no remedy.
But when Sanballat, the Horonite, and Tobiah, the slave, the Ammonite, and Geshem, the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn and despised us and said, What is this thing that ye do? Will ye rebel against the king?
All those that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
But in my adversity they rejoiced and gathered themselves together; yea, the smiters gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they tore me apart and did not cease: With immature hypocritical mockers, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
They that sat in the gate spoke against me, and I was the song of the drunkards.
Thou dost make us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.
Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy slaves; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of many peoples, because thine enemies have dishonoured, O LORD; they have dishonoured the footsteps of thine anointed.
The proud have had me greatly in derision; yet I have not deviated from thy law.
O LORD, thou hast seduced me, and I was seduced; thou wert stronger than I and hast overcome me; I am in derision daily; every one mocks me.
And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them; and they were amazed, and they followed him with fear. Then, taking the twelve aside again, he began to tell them what things would happen unto him, saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the princes of the priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death and shall deliver him to the Gentiles, and they shall mock him and shall scourge him and shall spit upon him and shall kill him; but the third day he shall rise again.
Then he took unto him the twelve and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles and shall be mocked and spitefully treated and spitted on; and they shall scourge him and put him to death, but the third day he shall rise again.
Then they spit in his face and buffeted him, and others smote him with the staves, saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ; who is he that smote thee?
And some began to spit on him and to cover his face and to buffet him and to say unto him, Prophesy. And the servants struck him with the palms of their hands.
And the men that held Jesus mocked him and smote him. And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? And they spoke many other things blasphemously against him.
And Herod with his court despised him and mocked him and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe and sent him again to Pilate.
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head and a reed in his right hand; and they bowed the knee before him and mocked him, saying, Receive joy, King of the Jews!read more.
And they spit upon him and took the reed and smote him on the head. And after they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him and put his own raiment on him and led him away to crucify him.

And they smote him on the head with a reed and spit upon him and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him and put his own clothes on him and led him out to crucify him.
Likewise also the princes of the priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross , and we will believe him. Wine makes a mocker, and beer a reveler, and whoever errs concerning them shall never be wise.
Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; strife and reproach shall cease.
He that chastens a scorner brings shame unto himself, and he that chastens a wicked man brings himself a blot.
The scorner does not love the one that reproves him, neither will he go unto the wise.

A wise son takes his father's chastening: but a scorner does not hear rebuke.
Smite a scorner, and the simple will become prudent, and reproving one that has understanding, he will understand knowledge.
Blessed is the man that does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.
The scorner sought wisdom and found it not, but wisdom comes easy unto him that understands.
Fools speak sin unto themselves, but among the righteous there is love.
The thought of the foolish is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to men.
Against whom do ye sport yourselves? Against whom do ye make a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? Are ye not rebellious sons, a lying seed of transgression,
In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with a wineskin; he stretched out his hand with the scorners.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Whosoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he that is glad regarding the calamity of someone else shall not go unpunished.
A witness of Belial shall scorn judgment, and the mouth of the wicked shall cover iniquity. Judgments are prepared for scorners and stripes for the back of fools.
When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise, and by instructing the wise, he receives wisdom.
The eye that mocks at his father, and despises the teaching of his mother, the ravens shall pluck it out of the river, and the young eagles shall eat it.
Now therefore do not be mockers lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of the hosts that consumption and destruction are determined upon the whole earth.
For the violent one shall be done away with, and the scorner shall be consumed, and all those that rose early unto iniquity shall be cut off:
This shall come upon them for their pride because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of the hosts. The LORD shall be terrible against them for he will weaken all the gods of the earth; and each one from his place shall worship him, even all the isles of the Gentiles.
Do not deceive yourselves; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap.
