Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life: but teach them to your sons, and your sons' sons;

Remember, and forget not, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you did depart out of the land of Egypt, until you came unto this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD. Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.

I, even I, am he that comforts you: who are you, that you should be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass; And forget the LORD your maker, that has stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; you have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

When you are come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit harlotry, and shall not increase: because they have ceased to obey the LORD. Harlotry and wine and new wine take away the heart. Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh? can the reeds grow without water? While it is yet green, and not cut down, it withers before any other plant. So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

Now consider this, you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

But you are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children who should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
