They said to him: He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and let out his vineyard to other vine dressers, who will give him the fruits in their season.
And ho began to speak to them in parables: A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge around it, and digged a wine-press, and built a tower, and let it out to vine-dressers, and went into another country. And at the proper time, he sent a servant to the vine-dressers, that he might receive from the vine-dressers of the fruit of the vineyard. And they drove him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and destroy these vine-dressers, and will give his vine yard to others. And when they heard it, they said: Be it not so!
