Philip went down to a city of Samaria and proclaimed Christ to them.

For I resolved to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

And they asked him, "Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and you do not show partiality, but teach the way of God in truth.

Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belongs the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Then they went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the signs that accompanied it. Amen.

Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospelnot with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

When I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

For we are not, like so many, peddling the word of God; but as men of sincerity, as from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

But we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity, nor is it made with deceit;

"Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life."

how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house,

by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit, so that from Jerusalem and as far round as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

Having so fond an affection for you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."

preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction.

But as surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been Yes and No. For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by usby me and Silvanus and Timothywas not Yes and No, but in him it has always been Yes.

Take heed to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in them, for if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel; the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, but thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment.

What then is my reward? Just this: that in my preaching I may offer the gospel free of charge, and so not make full use of my right in the gospel.

For you remember our labor and toil, brethren; we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we preached to you the gospel of God.
