Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, "Carry thither one of the priests which ye brought thence, and let him go and dwell there, and teach them the fashion how to serve the God of the country." And then one of the priests which they had carried thence, went and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.

Sing unto the LORD all the earth: and show from day to day his victories. Tell among the heathen of his glory: and among all nations of his wonderful deeds.

For this cause will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the gentiles, and sing praises unto thy name. {TYNDALE: And therefore I will praise thee O LORD among the heathen, and will sing unto thy name.}

Declare his honour among the Heathen, and his wonders among all people. {TYNDALE: Tell among the heathen of his glory, and among all nations of his wonderful deeds.}

Tell it out among the Heathen, that the LORD is king: and that it is he who hath made the round world so fast, that it can not be moved, and how that he shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad. {TYNDALE: He established the earth that it cannot move. The heaven rejoice and the earth be glad. And let men tell among the nations that the LORD is a king.}

I will say to the North, 'Let go.' And to the South, 'Keep not back: but bring me my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the world: Namely, all those that be called after my name. For them have I created, fashioned, and made for mine honour.'"

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jonah again, saying, "Up, and get thee to Nineveh that great city, and preach unto them the preaching which I bade thee." And he arose and went to Nineveh at the LORD's commandment. Nineveh was a great city unto God, containing three days journey.read more.
And Jonah went to and entered into the city even a day's journey, and cried, saying, "There shall not pass forty days but Nineveh shall be overthrown." And the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed fasting, and arrayed themselves in sackcloth, as well the great as the small of them. And the tidings came unto the king of Nineveh, which arose out of his seat, and did his apparel off and put on sackcloth, and sat him down in ashes. And it was cried and commanded in Nineveh by the authority of the king and of his lords, saying, "See that neither man or beast, ox or sheep taste ought at all, and that they neither feed or drink water." And they put on sackcloth both man and beast, and cried unto God mightily, and turned every man from his wicked way, and from doing wrong in which they were accustomed, saying, "Who can tell whether God will turn and repent, and cease from his fierce wrath, that we perish not?"

And this glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.

Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy ghost;

And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

And he said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the glad tidings to all creatures:

And that repentance, and remission of sins, should be preached in his name among all nations. And must begin at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.

On the morrow as they went on their journey and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went upon the top of the house to pray, about the sixth hour. Then waxed he a hungered, and would have eaten. But while they made ready for him, he fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel come down unto him, as it had been a great sheet, knit at the four corners, and was let down to the earth,read more.
wherein were all manner of four footed beasts of the earth and vermin and worms, and fouls of the air. And there came a voice to him, "Rise, Peter. Kill and eat." But Peter said, "God forbid Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean." And the voice spake unto him again the second time, "What God hath cleansed that make thou not common." This was done thrice; And the vessel was received up again into heaven. While Peter mused in himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold: the men which were sent from Cornelius, had made inquirance for Simon's house, and stood before the door. And called out one and asked whether Simon, which was also called Peter, were lodged there. While Peter thought on this vision, the spirit said unto him, "Behold, men seek thee: arise therefore, get thee down, and go with them, and doubt not. For I have sent them."

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted; The holy ghost said, "Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the work whereunto I have called them." Then fasted they and prayed, and put their hands on them, and let them go. And they, after they were sent of the holy ghost, came unto Seleucia, and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, 'I have made thee a light to the gentiles, that thou be salvation unto the end of the world.'"

When we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, 'Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the prick.' And I said, 'Who art thou Lord?' And he said, 'I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: But rise and stand up on thy feet. For I have appeared unto thee for this purpose: to make thee a minister, and a witness both of those things which thou hast seen, and of those things in thee which I will appear unto thee,read more.
delivering thee from the people, and from the gentiles, unto thee which now I send thee, to open their eyes that they might turn from darkness unto light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith in me.'

For a great door and a fruitful is opened unto me: and there are many adversaries.

And I saw an angel fly in the midst of heaven having an everlasting gospel, to preach unto them that sit and dwell on the earth, and to all nations, kindreds, and tongues, and people, saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give honour to him, for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him, that made heaven and earth, and the sea, and fountains of water."
