Why are ye so frighted, O ye of little faith? Then He rose up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men wondered, saying, What an amazing person is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!

And the same day, in the evening, He saith to them, Let us go over to the other side. So they dismissed the multitude, and took Him as He was in the ship. But there were other small vessels likewise with Him. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now almost full.read more.
And He was in the stern asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, art thou under no concern that we are perishing? And He rose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still; and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how! have ye no faith? And they were exceedingly afraid, and said to one another, Who is this? that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

And they launched forth: but as they were failing, He fell asleep: and a storm of wind came down upon the lake, and they were filled with water, and were in great danger. And He said unto them, Where is your faith? But they were struck with awe and amazement, and said one to another, who is this? for He commandeth even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall to the ground without the will of your Father: and even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

and hath made of one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having determined the seasons before-appointed them, and the bounds of their habitation;

Thou wilt say then, Why doth he yet blame us? who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou, that disputest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst thou make me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, out of the same mass to make one vessel to honor and another to dishonor?

concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied of the grace to be conferred on you, enquired and diligently sought after it: searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did declare in testifying beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ, and the glories following them: to whom it was revealed, that it was not to themselves, but to us they ministered these things, which are now declared unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, through the holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and illustrious day of the Lord come. And whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved." For Moses said unto the fathers, the Lord your God will raise up a prophet unto you, of your brethren, like me, Him shall ye hear in all things whatever He shall say unto you; and every soul, who will not hearken to that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people: yea and all the prophets from Samuel, and those that followed, as many as have prophesied, have also foretold these days.read more.
Now ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant, which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed:"

For the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and their rulers, not knowing Him, have indeed fulfilled the words of the prophets, which are read every sabbath-day, in condemning Him. And though they found in Him no capital offence, yet they desired of Pilate that He might be put to death. And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written, "After this will I return, and rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will repair its ruins, and set it up again. but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son born of a woman made under the law, that He might redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
