For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Put me in remembrance: let us contend together: state your case, that you may be proved right.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. read more.
And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. But we speak wisdom among them that are mature: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

I speak as to wise men; judge what I say.

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, Why reason you in your hearts?

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?

Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears. Behold now, I have prepared my case; I know that I shall be justified. Who is he that will contend with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall die. read more.
Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from you. Withdraw your hand far from me: and let not your dread make me afraid. Then call, and I will answer: or let me speak, and you answer me. How many are my iniquities and sins? make me know my transgression and my sin. Why hide you your face, and hold me for your enemy? Will you break a leaf driven to and fro? and will you pursue the dry stubble? For you write bitter things against me, and make me possess the iniquities of my youth. You put my feet also in the stocks, and watch closely all my paths; you set a bound to the soles of my feet. And he, like a rotten thing, consumes, as a garment that is moth-eaten.

At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
