If the thief is found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him. If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him. [A thief] shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

If a man shall deliver to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house, if the thief be found, he shall pay double.

And LORD spoke to Moses, saying, If a soul sins, and commits a trespass against LORD, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbor, or has found that which was lost, and deal falsely by it, and swears to a lie, in any of all these things that a man does, sinning by it,read more.
then it shall be, if he has sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, or anything about which he has sworn falsely, he shall even restore it in full, and shall add the fifth part more to it. He shall give it to him to whom it pertains, in the day of his being found guilty. And he shall bring his trespass-offering to LORD, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to thy estimation, for a trespass-offering, to the priest.

And he who smites any man mortally shall surely be put to death. And he who smites a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life. And if a man causes a blemish in his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him:read more.

Speak to the sons of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against LORD, and that soul shall be guilty, then he shall confess his sin which he has done. And he said to them, Truly I say to you, that there is no man who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will, no, not receive back manifold more in this time, and in the coming age eternal life.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life because of me and the good-news, this man will save it.

For whoever wants save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever may lose his life because of me, this man will save it.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat that falls into the ground dies, it remains alone, but if it dies it bears much fruit. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

But indeed therefore I even consider all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom I suffered the loss of all things, and consider them to be rubbish, so that I may gain C and be found in him, not having my righteousness, that from law, but that through Christ's faith--the righteousness from God based on faith-- to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the participation of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,
