And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, behind [him] a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the sons of Israel instead of all the first-born who opens the womb among the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall be mine, for all the first-born are mine. On the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I hallowed to me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast. They shall be mine. I am LORD.

If he is able to fight with me, and kill me, then we will be your servants, but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then ye shall be our servants, and serve us.

The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. Who, being reviled, did not revile in return. Suffering, he did not threaten, but yielded to him who judges righteously. Who himself took up our sins in his body upon the tree, so that we, having died to sins, might live to the righteousness of him from whose wound ye were healed. For ye were like sheep going astray, but now were returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
For the zeal of thy house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach thee have fallen upon me.
For the Son of man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
So that, whether we are awake or sleep, we should live together with him.
