Matthew 6:2-4

When, therefore, thou mayest be doing an alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, just as, the hypocrites, do in the synagogues and in the streets - that they may be glorified by men, - Verily, I say unto you, they are getting back their reward. But, thou, when doing an alms, let not, thy left hand, know what thy right hand is doing; that thine alms may be in secret, - and, thy Father, who seeth in secret, will give it back to thee.

Matthew 6:16-18

Luke 12:22-31

And he said unto his disciples - For this cause, I say unto you, - Be not anxious for the life, what ye shall eat, nor yet for yourbody, what ye shall put on; For, the life, is more, than the food, and, the body, than, the clothing. Matthew 7:3-5

Why, moreover, beholdest thou the mote, in the eye of thy brother, - while, the beam in thine own eye, thou dost not consider? Or how wilt thou say unto thy brother, Let me cast the mote out of thine eye, - when 1o! a beam, is in thine own eye? Hypocrite! cast first, out of thine own eye, the beam, - and, then, shalt thou see clearly to cast the mote, out of the eye of thy brother.

But why beholdest thou the mote that is in the eye of thy brother, while, the beam that is in thine own eye, thou dost not consider?
