Bondservants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as serving Christ;
Know ye not, that whomever ye choose to obey as a master, his bondmen ye are, whether of sin whose fruit is death, or of obedience whose fruit is righteousness?
So then thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
For when ye were the slaves of sin, ye were not the bondmen of righteousness.
For he that was called in the Lord, being a slave, is the Lords freeman. In like manner the freeman, who is called, is Christs slave.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus;
Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and considerate, but also to the perverse.
And God spoke in this manner: "That his posterity should sojourn in a foreign land, and that they would bring them into bondage, and illtreat them four hundred years;
For ye did not receive the spirit of bondage so as to be again in fear; but ye received the spirit of adopted children, whereby we cry, Abba, Father!
Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth in no respect from a bondservant, though he is lord of all;
Jesus answered them, Truly, truly do I say to you, Every one that committeth sin is a bondservant of sin.
Wast thou called being a slave, care not for it; but even if thou canst be made free, use it rather.
So also we, when we were children, were in bondage under the rudiments of the world;
And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever; the son abideth for ever.
And, ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatening; knowing that both they and you have a Master in heaven, and that there is no respect of persons with him.

and might deliver those who, through fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Stand firm in the liberty with which Christ made us free, and be not again bound fast to the yoke of bondage.
But the one by the bondwoman was born after the flesh; while the one by the freewoman was through the promise.

as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as servants of God.
Masters, deal out to your bondservants justice and equity, knowing that ye also have a master in heaven.
but I beat down my body, and bring it into subjection, lest perhaps, when I have been a herald to others, I should myself be rejected as unworthy.
