And he said to them, O dull of apprehension, and slow of heart to believe all that the Prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things, and enter into his glory? After this I saw, and lo! an open door in heaven; and the former voice, which I heard as of a trumpet speaking with me, said, Come up hither, and I will show thee what things must take place after these.

But flee youthful lusts, and follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But the foolish and ignorant questionings avoid, knowing that they gender quarrels; and a servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but be gentle to all, apt in teaching, patient of wrong,
