and going out about the third hour he saw others standing in the market-place doing nothing,
And he also who received the one talent came to him and said, Sir, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou sowedst not, and gathering where thou hast not strewed; and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the ground; behold, there is thine own: but his lord answered and said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed;read more.
thou oughtest then to have put my money to the bankers, and when I came I should have received my own with interest. Take ye therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath the ten talents; (for to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound; but from him that hath not, even what he hath, or seemeth to have, shall be taken away:) and cast out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
And admonish the disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be of a patient spirit towards all.
Now we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw yourselves from every brother who walketh disorderly, and not according to the instruction which he received from us.
And withal being idle they learn to go about from house to house: and are not only idle, but tatlers also and busy-bodies, talking of things unbecoming them.
as said one of themselves, a prophet of their own, "The Cretans are always liars, mischievous beasts, sluggish gluttons."
And let our brethren-also learn to excel in good works for necessary exigencies, that they may not be unfruitful.
that ye would not be sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience are inheriting the promises.
