And the king was exceeding sorry, yet for his oath's sake and for the sakes of those who sat with him, he would not reject her. And straightway the king sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought, and he went and beheaded him in the prison and brought his head in a platter and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother. And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse and laid it in a tomb.

So the princes of the priests took counsel that they might also put Lazarus to death

When they heard these things, they were divided in their hearts and gnashed on him with their teeth.

And if anyone desires to sue thee at the law, and take away thy clothing, let him have thy cloak also.

Not repaying anyone evil for evil; procuring that which is good not only in the sight of God, but even in the sight of all men.

See that no one renders evil for evil unto anyone, but always follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.

Because for this were ye called: for the Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps who did no sin neither was guile found in his mouth, who, when he was cursed, did not return the curse; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously;

not rendering evil for evil or curse for curse, but to the contrary, blessing, knowing that ye are called, that ye should possess a blessing by inheritance.
