For His invisible things, since the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:
at the end of these days spake to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He constituted the ages; Who, being an effulgence of His glory and an exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made a purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
and He made of one every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having marked out their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;
in Whom we also were made a heritage, having been predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will;
and what the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of the strength of His might, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly places,
And He hath said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you; for My power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Wherefore, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then am I powerful.
for, indeed, He was crucified through weakness, but He liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him through the power of God toward you.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are chosen; but God chose the foolish things of the world, that He might put to shame the wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that He might put to shame the things that are strong;
quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put to flight armies of aliens.
And the kings of the earth, and the magnates, and the commanders of thousands, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him Who is sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; because the great day of their wrath came, and who is able to stand?"
awarding vengeance to those who know not God, and to those who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus; who, indeed, shall pay a penalty, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,
but the present heavens and the earth, by the same word, have been stored up for fire, being kept unto the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
And I saw, when He opened the sixth seal, and a great earthquake took place; and the sun became black as sack-cloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; and the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, as a fig-tree casts her unripe figs, when shaken by a great wind; And the heaven was removed, as a scroll rolled up; and every mountain and island were removed out of their places.
Therefore, in one day shall come her plagues, death and mourning and famine; and she shall be burned up with fire; because strong is the Lord God who judged her.
and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who hath given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
And we know that all things are working together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose;
