O king, as I was on the way thither I saw a light from heaven exceeding the splendor of the sun, shining round about me and those that were going with me.
but when the sun rose, it was burnt up, and withered because it had no root:
For when the sun is risen with it's sultry heat, it drieth up the grass, and the flower of, it falleth, and the beauty of it's appearance is lost: so shall the rich man fade away in his projects.

But in those days, after that affliction, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give it's light; and the stars of heaven shall fall,
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity, the sea and the waves roring: and men ready to die for fear and apprehension of the things that are coming upon the land; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Now from the sixth hour to the ninth there was darkness over all the land.
Now at the sixth hour there was darkness over the whole land, until the ninth hour.
Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land till the ninth hour.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and illustrious day of the Lord come.
And I saw when He opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sack-cloth of hair, and the moon was red as blood; and the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig-tree droppeth it's unripe figs, when shaken by a strong wind; and the heaven passed away as a book rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places:read more.
and the kings of the earth, and the grandees, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every slave, and every free man, hid themselves in the caverns and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come, and who can stand before Him?"
in the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the day-spring hath visited us from on high, to enlighten them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace."
and was transfigured before them: and his face shone like the sun, and his raiment became white as the light.
For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, hath shined into our hearts, to reflect the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
and He had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun when he shineth in his strength.
And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God enlighteneth it, and the Lamb is it's light.
And there shall be no night there: and they have no need of a candle, nor of the light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever.
But the righteous shall then shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
