So he went out and followed him; and he did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went out and passed on through one street; and immediately the angel left him. When Peter came to himself, he said, "Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting." When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

Repay no one evil for evil, but have regard for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord.read more.

And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life!read more.
So if you have disputes about such matters, do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church? I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no man among you wise enough to decide between his brethren, but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers? Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded? Instead, you yourselves defraud and do wrong, and you even do this to your brethren.

Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; be infants in evil, but in thinking be mature.

Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.read more.
