And, ye fathers, stir not up the anger of your children, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety to their own family, and to requite their parents; for this is acceptable before God.
For God commanded, saying, "Honor thy father and thy mother;" and, "He that curseth father or mother, let him surely die."
And ye will be delivered up both by parents and brothers and kinsmen and friends; and some of you will they put to death.
Behold, I am ready to come to you this third time, and I will not be a charge to you; for I seek not yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

But ye say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, Whatever thou mightst receive in aid from me is a gift [to God],
Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is wellpleasing in the Lord.
And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children will rise up against parents, and put them to death.
Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but that the works of God might be made manifest in him.

He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me;
If ye then, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him!
Or what man is there of you, who, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone?
But ye say, If a man say to his father or mother, Whatever thou mightst receive in aid from me is Corban, that is, a gift to God, [he is not bound by the command. Thus]
And what father is there, among you, who, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone? or if he ask for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent?
and had completed the days, on their returning, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and his parents did not know it,
then lust, having conceived, bringeth forth sin, and sin, when completed, bringeth forth death.
Now his parents used to go yearly to Jerusalem at the feast of the passover.
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ hath been born of God; and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth also him that hath been begotten of him.
