But flee youthful lusts, and follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

For false Christs and false prophets will rise up, and will do signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the chosen. But do ye take heed! I have told you all beforehand.

But there arose false prophets also among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who will stealthily bring in destructive factions, even denying the Lord that bought them; bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

For of these are they who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

My children, the last time is come; and as ye have heard that Antichrist is coming, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know that the last time is come. but prove all things; hold fast that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.

Therefore be watchful, and remember that for the space of three years, night and day, I ceased not to warn every one with tears.

And the tempter came and said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread.

But each one is tempted when by his own lust he is led away and enticed;

Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one loveth the world, the love of the Father is not in him;

because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Again, the Devil taketh him m an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory; and said to him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

then lust, having conceived, bringeth forth sin, and sin, when completed, bringeth forth death.
