“Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

And He *said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

Now the chief priests and the whole Council kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any.

You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?” And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death.

But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us to death, for they are convinced that John was a prophet.”

The chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.

No, nor has Herod, for he sent Him back to us; and behold, nothing deserving death has been done by Him.

And he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has this man done? I have found in Him no guilt demanding death; therefore I will punish Him and release Him.”

Two others also, who were criminals, were being led away to be put to death with Him.

to fulfill the word of Jesus which He spoke, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die.
