'Courage' in the Bible
Just then some people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven."
But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, "Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was healed from that hour.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them: "Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid."
for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them: "Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid."
Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." So they called the blind man and said to him, "Have courage! Get up! He is calling you."
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.
I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage -- I have conquered the world."
And now, Lord, pay attention to their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your message with great courage,
The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, "Have courage, for just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome."
