Be awake (beware) (be cautious and active), watch (perceive) and pray, for you do not know the time. It is similar to a man traveling to another country. He leaves his house and gives authority to his servants to do the work. He commands them to watch. Watch therefore for you do not know when the lord of the house comes. Luke 12:35-40

Gird your loins (strengthen yourselves) and light your lamps. Be like men looking for their master to return. He will knock when he returns from the marriage feast, and it will immediately be opened to him. Those servants are blessed, for the master will find them alert when he comes. Even if he comes in the second watch or the third and he finds the same his servants are blessed. Know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming he would have watched. He would not have allowed his house to be broken into. You be ready! The Son of man will come at a time when you do not think he will.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus.
