'For Us' in the Bible
Then it says, 'I will go back to my house which I left,' and it finds it unoccupied, swept, and ready for use.
Then Peter said to Him, "Explain the maxim for us."
And Peter interrupted, and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here! If you consent, I will put up three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
At last the rest of the bridesmaids came, and kept begging, 'Master, master, open the door for us!'
Then Peter interrupted and said to Jesus, "Teacher, it is good for us to be here. So let us put up three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah."
And Zebedee's two sons, James and John, came up to Him and said, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask."
Then he will show you a large upstairs room, furnished and ready; get everything ready for us there."
And they kept saying to one another, "Who will roll the boulder back from the doorway of the tomb for us?"
and He has made a mighty Saviour for us in the house of His servant David,
And just as they were starting to leave Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah" -- although he did not know what he was saying.
And it goes and finds it unoccupied, swept, and ready for use.
Peter said to Him, "Lord, do you mean this story for us, or is it for everybody?"
when once the master of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand on the outside and to knock on the door again and again and say, 'Lord, open it for us'; but He will answer, 'I do not know where you come from.'
Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
"Teacher, Moses wrote for us a law that, if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no child, the man should take the widow and raise up a family for his brother.
So He sent Peter and John, saying to them, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover meal."
So they asked Him, "What wonder-work then are you going to perform for us to see and so believe in you? What work are you going to do?

and to advocate practices which it is against the law for us Romans to accept or observe."
They went on to Troas and waited there for us,
For when we were still helpless, Christ at the proper time died for us ungodly men.
But God proves His love for us by the fact that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
For I consider all that we suffer in this present life is nothing to be compared with the glory which by-and-by is to be uncovered for us.
In the same way the Spirit, too, is helping us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself pleads for us with unspeakable yearnings,
What are we then to say to facts like these? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Since He did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not with Him graciously give us everything else?
who can condemn them? Christ Jesus who died, or rather, who was raised from the dead, is now at God's right hand, and is actually pleading for us.
Then you will say, "Branches have been broken off for us to be grafted in."
As for us apostles, men ought to think of us as ministers of Christ and trustees to handle God's uncovered truths.
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, who is the source of all things and the goal of our living, and but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom everything was made and through whom we live.
If we have sown the spiritual seed for you, is it too great for us to reap a material support from you?
He made Him who personally knew nothing of sin to be a sin-offering for us, so that through union with Him we might come into right standing with God.
Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us -- for the Scripture says, "Cursed be everyone who is hanged on a tree" --
and how surpassingly great is His power for us who believe, measured by His tremendously mighty power
But God, who is so rich in mercy on account of the great love He has for us,
For He has made us what we are, because He has created us through our union with Christ Jesus for doing good deeds which He beforehand planned for us to do.
who died for us, so that whether we still live or sleep we may live in fellowship with Him.
Brothers, pray for us.
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the message of the Lord may continue to spread and prove its glorious power as it did among you,
who gave Himself for us to ransom us from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people to be His very own, zealous of good works.
So let us fear that when the promise for us to be admitted to His rest is still remaining valid some one of you may be found to have missed it.
