My son, forget not my law, but let thine heart keep my commandments: For they shall add length of days and long life and peace unto thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; bind them about thy neck; write them upon the tablet of thine heart: read more.
So shalt thou find grace and good favour in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD and depart from evil. It shall be medicine to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. Honour the LORD with thy substance and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

My son, if thy heart is wise, my heart shall also rejoice; my kidneys shall also rejoice when thy lips speak right things.

The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice, and he that begets a wise child shall have joy with him. Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bore thee shall rejoice.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of the heavens. And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.

But Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens. And he laid his hands on them and departed from there.

Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me; and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

And they brought young children to him that he should touch them, and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. And Jesus seeing it, became angry and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me and hinder them not, for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. read more.
And taking them up in his arms and putting his hands upon them, he blessed them.

and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receives me, and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me; for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

And they brought unto him also infants that he would touch them; but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him and said, Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.

I write unto you, little children, that your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write unto you, fathers, that ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, that ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, that ye have known the Father.

Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king who will no longer be admonished. For he came out of prison to reign, even though he was born poor into his kingdom.

and, behold, a woman met him with the attire of a harlot, and subtil of heart.

Therefore her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

For the lips of the strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil,

to keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.

I will not visit upon your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor upon your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery: for they offer with whores, and they sacrifice with cult prostitutes; therefore the people without understanding shall fall.

But as soon as this thy son was come who has devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed the fatted calf for him.

What? know ye not that he who is joined to the harlot is one body with her? For they shall be, saith he, two in one flesh.

My son, be wise and make my heart glad that I may answer him that reproaches me.

and bring here the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I invent the knowledge of giving counsel. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride, arrogancy, the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate. With me is counsel, and existence; I am understanding; strength belongs to me. read more.
By me the kings reign, and the princes decree justice. By me the princes rule, and all of the governors judge the earth. I love those that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me, yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than precious stones, and my revenue than choice silver. I shall lead in the way of righteousness in the midst of the paths of judgment, that I may cause my friends to inherit existence and I will fill their treasures.

For speaking arrogant words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from those who converse in error,

Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth and been wanton; ye have refreshed your hearts, as in the day of slaughter of sacrifices.

But as soon as this thy son was come who has devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed the fatted calf for him.

For this ye know, that no fornicator nor unclean person nor covetous man, who is also an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Be not ye, therefore, partakers with them.

But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it legitimately, knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly sinners, for the evil and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

I AM the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and end, the first and the last. Blessed are those who do his commandments that their power and authority might be in the tree of life and they may enter in through the gates into the city. But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

to deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger who flatters with her words, who forsakes the prince of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. Therefore her house inclines unto death, and her paths unto the dead. read more.
None that go unto her return again, neither do they take hold of the paths of life.

Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister, and call understanding thy kinswoman: That they may keep thee from the woman belonging to someone else, from the stranger who flatters with her words. For at the window of my house I looked through my casement read more.
and beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, in the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night; and, behold, a woman met him with the attire of a harlot, and subtil of heart. (She is loud and stubborn; her feet do not abide in her house: Now without, now in the streets, she lies in wait at every corner.) So she caught him and kissed him and with an impudent face said unto him, I had promised sacrifices of peace; today I have payed my vows. Therefore I came forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; let us solace ourselves with loves. For the husband is not at home; he is gone a long journey: He has taken a bag of money with him and will come home at the appointed feast day. With her much fair speech she caused him to yield; with the flattering of her lips she persuaded him. He went after her straightway, as an ox goes to the slaughter or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, until the arrow pierces through his liver. He is as a bird struggling in the snare and not knowing that it is against his own life.
