as we see there was, for after complaining of them, He adds, "Behold the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
to display his mercy towards our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant, according to the oath which He sware to Abraham our father,
Now ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant, which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed:" and to you first God having raised up his son Jesus, sent Him to bless you; in your turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles by Christ Jesus; that we through faith might receive the promise of the Spirit. Brethren, (I speak after the manner of men,) no one cancelleth or addeth to a covenant which hath been ratified, though it be but the covenant of a man. Now the promises were made to Abraham, and to his seed. He doth not say, "and to seeds," as of many; but as of one, "and to thy seed," which is Christ.
And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.
For where a testament is, there is a necessity of proving the death of the testator. For a testament is valid after men are dead, but is of no force while the testator is living.
as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.
for this is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many for the remission of sins:
And He said unto them, This is an emblem of my blood the seal of the new covenant, which is to be shed for many:
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

And in the same manner He took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant ratified in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink of it, in remembrance of me."
of how much greater punishment, think ye, shall he be counted worthy, who hath trampled under foot the Son of God, and accounted the blood of the covenant, by which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and abused the Spirit of grace?
Who hath also fitted us to be ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath set me free from the law of sin and death. For that which was impossible for the law to do, and in which it was weak through the corruption of the flesh, God by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sacrifice for sin, hath done; that is, hath condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.
and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than Abel.
For I will forgive their crimes, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more."
For if the ministration of condemnation was so glorious, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory:
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, having been made a curse for us: for it is written, "Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles by Christ Jesus; that we through faith might receive the promise of the Spirit.
being manifest that ye are the epistle of Christ, through our ministration, written not with ink, but by the Spirit of the living God; not on tables of stone, but on tables of the heart of flesh.
not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind, and I will inscribe them on their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God?

And they shall not teach every one his neighbour, and every one his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the lest even to the greatest of them.
But to this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Though when it turneth unto the Lord, the veil is taken off:
But now He hath obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which is established upon better promises.
by so much is Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.
For Christ is not entered into holy places made with hands, which were but types of the true ones; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: nor to offer Himself often, as the high-priest entereth into the holy of holies every year with the blood of others;
saying, this is the blood of the covenant, which God hath enjoined you. And the tabernacle, and all the vessels of public worship he likewise sprinkled with blood. And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood; and without shedding of blood there is no remission.read more.
It was therefore necessary that the representations of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with more excellent sacrifices than these.
For if that, which was to be taken away, came with glory, much more that which abideth is glorious.
For if the first covenant had been unexceptionable, there had been no room for a second:
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant,
