As Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust (that He might introduce us to God) being indeed put to death in the flesh, but raised to life by the Spirit:

ye, who were formerly afar off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and removed the wall of partition from between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might form the two into one new man, in Himself, so making peace; read more.

For He hath made Him, who knew no sin, to be a sin-offering for us, that in Him we might be made righteous before God.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from wrath through Him. For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever those that are sanctified.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
