And grieve not the holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed to the day of redemption.

But ye are of Him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

for a demonstration, I say, of his righteousness at this time: that He might be just, and the justifier of him, that believeth in Jesus.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

One brother shall betray another to death, and the father the son: and children shall appear against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated by all men for my sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved. Now when ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, set up where it ought not to be, (let him that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains: and let not him that is at the top of the house come down into the house, nor go in to fetch any thing out of his house: nor let him that is in the field return back for his clothes. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. But pray that your flight may not be in the winter; for in those days shall be such affliction as never was from the beginning of the world, unto this day, nor ever shall be. And if the Lord did not shorten those days, none could escape: but for the sake of the elect, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened those days. And then if any shall say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, He is there, believe it not: for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall work signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, even the elect. But do ye beware: behold, I have told you all before. But in those days, after that affliction, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give it's light; and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers in the heavens shall be shaken; and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds, with great power and glory. And He will then send forth his messengers, and will gather his elect together from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of heaven. Now learn a parable from the fig-tree: when it's branch is tender and bringeth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh; so ye also, when ye see these things come to pass, know that He is near, even at the doors. Verily I tell you, that this generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled.

But not an hair of your head shall perish. In your patience therefore possess your souls. And when ye shall see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh: then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains, and those that are in the midst of it, depart; and let not them that are in the countries enter into it. For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people, and they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trampled down by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles too shall be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity, the sea and the waves roring: and men ready to die for fear and apprehension of the things that are coming upon the land; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming, as on a cloud, with power and great glory. But when these things begin to come to pass, look upwards and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh. And He spake a parable to them, Behold the fig-tree, and all the trees, when they shoot out, ye see and know of yourselves that summer is now near: so likewise know ye, when ye see these things coming to pass, that the kingdom of God is at hand. Verily I tell you, this generation shall not pass away till all be accomplished.
