I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians. I will bring my people out of Egypt into a country where there is good land, rich with milk and honey. I will give them the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

Now go to Pharaoh! I am sending you to lead my people out of his country.

And now, O Jehovah our God, you brought your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made a name for yourself that day. We have sinned! We have done wickedly.

I brought you out of the land of Egypt. I led you forty years in the desert wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

Hear this word Jehovah spoke against you, O children of Israel! It is against the whole family that I brought out of the land of Egypt:

Are you not as the children of the Ethiopians to me, O children of Israel? Said Jehovah. Have I not brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

I will make you my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am Jehovah your God. I brought you out from under the forced labor of the Egyptians.
