Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Jehovah is your keeper. Jehovah is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not strike you by day. When all of his own are out he leads them. The sheep follow him for they know his voice. They will not follow a stranger but will flee from him. They do not know the voice of a stranger. Jehovah protects the strangers. He supports the fatherless and the widow, but he overthrows the way of the wicked.

Jehovah your God cares about this land. Jehovah watches over it day after day and year by year.

For you were straying like sheep. But now you have returned to your shepherd and overseer.
