which is the word of God, Praying alway by the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
Ye worship ye know not what; we know what we worship; for salvation is from the Jews. And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.

I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting:
God is a spirit, and they that worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Night and day praying exceedingly, that we may see your face, and perfect that which is wanting in your faith.
Elijah was a man of like passions with us; and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the land for three years and six months.
I tell you, though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet, because of his importunity, he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.

And he would not for a while, but afterwards he said in himself, Tho' I fear not God nor reverence man, Yet because this widow giveth me trouble, I will do her justice, left by her continual coming she weary me out. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith? And shall not God vindicate his own elect, who cry to him day and night, though he bear long with them?
Now she that is a widow indeed and desolate, trusteth in God and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
Pray without ceasing: In every thing give thanks;
Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God:
