And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth. Go ye and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, having commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of the Samaritans enter not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And he calleth to him the twelve, and sent them forth by two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits; And commanded them to take nothing for the journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no mony in their purse; But be shod with sandals, and not to put on two coats.read more.
And he said to them, Wheresoever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. And whosoever shall not receive you nor hear you, departing thence shake off the dust under your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city. And they went out and preached, that men should repent.

Then Peter filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we are examined this day, of the benefit done to the impotent man, by what means he is healed, Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, by him doth this man stand before you whole.read more.
This is the stone which was set at nought by you builders, which is become the head of the corner. And there is salvation in no other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all that were hearing the word.

But ye renounced the holy one and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted you. But ye killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses. But as we have been approved of God to be intrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who trieth our hearts.

be instant in season, out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come, when they will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap to themselves teachers, according to their own desires, having itching ears. And they will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables.read more.
But watch thou in all things, endure affliction, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not passionate, not given to wine, no striker, not desirous of filthy gain: But a lover of strangers, a lover of good men, prudent, just, holy, temperate, Holding fast the faithful word, as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
I know not that I baptized any other. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; but not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. I am a debtor both to the Greeks and the barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise. Therefore, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also who are at Rome.
For whereas the Jews demand signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom, We preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness: But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.read more.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? But how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the glad tidings of good things!
Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. Thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? Thou that proclaimest, a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayst, a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? Thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that gloriest in the law, dost thou by transgressing the law dishonour God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
