Stop owing anybody anything, except the obligation to love one another, for whoever practices loving others has perfectly satisfied the law. The right thing to do is not to eat meat, or drink wine, or do anything else, that makes your brother stumble.
It is the duty of us who are strong to bear with the weaknesses of those who are not strong, and not merely to please ourselves. Each one of us must practice pleasing his neighbor, to help in his immediate upbuilding for his eternal good.
May God, who gives men patient endurance and encouragement, grant you such harmony with one another, in accordance with the standard which Christ Jesus sets,
