Who among you is wise and intelligent? Let him show by his noble living that his good deeds are done in humility, which wisdom prompts. But if you cherish bitter jealousy and rivalry in your hearts, stop being proud of it and stop being false to the standard of truth. This is not the kind of wisdom that comes down from above; no, it is earthly, human, demoniacal.
Stop looking after your own interests only but practice looking out for the interests of others too.

Then what is our conclusion, brothers? When you meet together, everybody has a song, something to teach, a revelation, an ecstatic utterance, or an explanation of one. It must all be for the upbuilding of all. If anybody speaks in ecstasy, there must be only two, or three at most, and let one speak at a time, and someone explain what he says. But if there is no one to explain it, let him keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God alone.read more.
