2 Peter 3:15-16

Consider the patience of our Lord as salvation. Just as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you. He spoke about these things in his letters. Some things are hard to understand. The untaught and unstable distort them as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Hebrews 5:11

We have many things to say about him and it is hard to explain it to you, for you are dull of hearing (slow to learn).

Nehemiah 8:2-8

Ezra the priest brought the law to the meeting of the people. They were all able to listen to it. It was the first day of the seventh month. He read it in the wide place in front of the Water Gate from early morning till the middle of the day. Everyone who could understand it, men and women alike were able to listen to it. All the people got to hear the Book of the Law. Ezra the scribe took his place on a tower (podium) of wood that they had made for the purpose. Ezra took the book and opened it before the eyes of all the people for he was higher than the people. When it was open, all the people stood on their feet. Ezra praised Jehovah, the great God. And all the people said: Amen! With lifted hands and bent heads they worshiped Jehovah. They dropped to their faces on the earth. And Jeshua and Bani and Sherebiah and Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites made the law clear to the people: and the people kept in their places. They read from the book the Law of God making it clear (translating it), so that their minds were able to take it in.

Nehemiah 13:1-3

On that day there was a reading from the book of Moses while the people listened. They heard that it said in the book that no Ammonite or Moabite might ever come into the meeting of God at any time. This is because they did not give the children of Israel bread and water when they came to them, but got Balaam to put a curse on them. Our God turned the curse into a blessing. So after hearing the law, they took out of Israel all the mixed people.

Deuteronomy 17:18-20

When he first sits on the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll taken in the presence of the Levitical priests. He should keep it with him. He should read from it all the days of his life. In this way he will learn to respect Jehovah his God by carefully observing all the words of this Law and these statutes. He must not think he is better than the rest of his people. He will not disobey these commandments in any way. So he and his sons will rule for a long time in Israel.

Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful mockers. But his delight is in the law of Jehovah (YHWH), and on his law he meditates (ponders) (speaks softly with deep thought) (studies) (contemplates) day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water. It yields its fruit in season and its leaves do not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law will not depart out of your mouth. You must meditate (intensely study) (think deeply) on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. Then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Command and teach these things. Let no man look down on your youth. Be an example to the believers in speech and conduct, in love, in faith and chasteness. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.read more.
Do not neglect the spiritual gift in you. It was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the elders. Be diligent and think about these things. Give yourself wholly to them. That way your progress may be apparent to all. Pay attention to yourself and to your teaching. Continue in these things. When you do this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

2 Timothy 4:1-5

I solemnly charge you in the sight (presence) of God, and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine. Having their ears tickled, they will accumulate teachers who follow after their own lusts.read more.
They will turn their ears away from the truth, and turn aside to myths (fiction). Be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist (preacher of the good news), and fulfill your ministry.
