Jesus responded: Have I been with you so long a time and you do not know me Philip? He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works. Believe me that I am with the Father and the Father is with me, or else believe me because of the works.

Do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I came, not to destroy, but to fulfill (perfect) (execute) (accomplish).

If you obey my commandments you will remain in my love. I have obeyed my Father's commandments and remain in his love.

It is because of him you are united with Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Faithful is the saying, and worthy of acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost. For this I obtained mercy, which in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might show his long-suffering. This is for an example to those who should later believe in him for eternal life.

When he heard it, he said: People who are well do not have need of a physician. The sick do. You should learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice'; for I came, not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Jesus heard this. He said to them: Those who are well have no need of a medical man but those who are ill do. I have come to care for sinners not the upright.

Jesus answered them: Those who have good health do not need a physician. The sick do. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

I desire loving-kindness (mercy), not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy and faith. You should do both and leave nothing undone.

The Father will send a helper in my name, the Holy Spirit, which (Greek: hos he ho) (which) (that one) will teach you all things and bring to your memory all that I said to you.

I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot endure them now. When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. All the things the Father has are mine. That is why I said [the Spirit] takes what I have and declares it to you.

But you are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God's Spirit dwells in you. If any one does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to him.

For what man knows the things of a man, except the mental disposition that is in man? Even so no one knows the things of God, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God. This is so we might know the things that are freely given to us from God. We speak these things, not in the words that man's wisdom teaches. But we speak them with the words the Holy Spirit teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

The Holy Spirit did not let them preach the message in the province of Asia. So they traveled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia. When they reached the border of Mysia, they tried to go into the province of Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

The Spirit said to Philip: Go near, and climb on this chariot.

The Spirit told me to go with them and not to doubt them. These six brothers accompanied me when we entered the man's house.

As they ministered to God, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said: Set Barnabas and Saul apart for the work I have called them.

For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God. They are foolishness to him! He cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned. He that is spiritual judges all things, yet no man judges him. Who has understood the mind of Jehovah, or has instructed him, as his counselor? (Isaiah 40:13) But we do have the mind (purpose) (feelings) (thoughts) (understanding) of Christ.

Have this attitude (mind-set) (understanding) (mental state) in you that was also in Christ Jesus. He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it! He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men.read more.
He obtained the appearance as a man, humbled himself, and became obedient even to death, yes, death on the stake. For this reason God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name that is above every name, (Relative authority given by Jehovah God, the Father to His Son) (Philipians 2:11) that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Since Christ suffered physically for us, you too must strengthen yourselves with the same way of thinking that he had. Whoever suffers physically has ceased from sin. From now on you must live the rest of your earthly lives controlled by God's will and not by human desires (lusts).
