This is the disciple that bears witness of these things, and wrote these things. That way we know that his witness is true.
The first account I composed, O Theophilus, was about all that Jesus did and taught, until the day he was received up to heaven. After that he gave orders through the Holy Spirit to his chosen apostles.

We write these things that our joy may be made full (complete).
He opened their minds that they might understand the scriptures. He said: It is written that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day. Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.read more.

You will receive power, when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
As they spoke to the people, the chief priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came to them. They were annoyed because they taught the people through Jesus. They preached the resurrection from the dead. They laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day for it was already evening.read more.
Many who heard the word believed. There were about five thousand men. The next morning their rulers, elders, scribes, Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. They stood them in their presence and asked: By what power or by what name do you do this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said: You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we are on trial for a good deed done to a sick man, concerning how this man was made well; Let it be known to you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you impaled and whom God raised from the dead, even by him this man stands before you healed. This is the stone that was rejected by you builders. It became the chief corner stone. There is no salvation in anyone else. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. They observed the confidence of Peter and John. Yet they thought they were uneducated (not formally educated) and ordinary men. They were amazed and recognized them as having been with Jesus. Seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in reply. They ordered them to leave the council. Then they conferred among themselves. They said: What shall we do to these men? The fact that a notable miracle has been done by them is evident to all who live in Jerusalem. And we cannot deny it. We must warn these men not to speak about it in order to stop this from spreading further among the people. They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Peter and John answered: You judge whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God. We cannot stop speaking the things we have seen and heard.
We are witnesses of these things. The Holy Spirit, which God gave to those who obey him, also witnessed.
But God raised him from the dead: Those who came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem saw him. They are his witnesses to the people.
How shall we escape, if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first presented by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified about it with signs, wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit given according to his will.
I exhort the elders among you. I too am an older man and a witness of the sufferings of Christ. I am also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed.
We see and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
They taught daily in the temple and in every house. They did not cease to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone to preach? How will they preach unless they have been sent? Just as it is written: How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace and who bring good tidings of good things! For they proclaim salvation and say to Zion: Your God reigns as king! (Hebrew: Elohiym' malak': God rules!) (Isaiah 52:7)
Brothers, I declared the good news to you. You have received it and should continue strong in it. You will be saved through the good news if you hold fast to the word I preached to you. That way you will not believe in vain.
To me, the very least of all the holy ones, was given grace (loving divine influence) to preach to the people of the nations the untraceable riches of Christ. To make all men see what is the administration of the secret which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things.
When they believed what Philip preached about the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
This is the wisdom of God that the world through its wisdom did not come to know God. God was well pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
They heard it said: He that once persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.
preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
Remember those who are taking the lead among you, men that spoke the Word of God to you. Consider their behavior and imitate their faith.
The Father will send a helper in my name, the Holy Spirit, which (Greek: hos he ho) (which) (that one) will teach you all things and bring to your memory all that I said to you.
I will send the helper from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father to bear witness of me.
I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot endure them now. When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. It will speak the things it hears and declare to you the things that are to come. It will glorify me and will take of what I have and declare it to you.read more.
All the things the Father has are mine. That is why I said [the Spirit] takes what I have and declares it to you.
This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not come with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. The Spirit gives witness because it is the truth.
