And king Solomon made of the almug trees pillars in the house of the LORD in the king's palace, and made harps and psalteries for singers. There came no more almug trees so, nor was any more seen unto this day.

How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land?
These are the singers - ancient heads among the Levites divided by chambers, for they had to do both day and night.
And Chenaniah the chief of the Levites was master of the song and taught to sing, for he was a man of understanding.
These be they which David set for to sing in the house of the LORD, after that the Ark had rest. And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of witness with singing, until Solomon had built the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem. And then they waited on their offices, according to the order of them.

The overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem, was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica. Of the children of Asaph, there were singers about the business in the house of God:
for in the time of David and Asaph, were the chief singers founded, and the songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

But Paul cried with a loud voice saying, "Do thyself no harm, for we are all here." Then he called for a light and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved and thy household." And they preached unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds, and was baptised, with all that belonged unto him, straightway.
